Food and Nutrition
There is so much more to mealtimes at Little Peoples Place than just eating! Yes, every child requires a nutritional, well-balanced diet – but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a delight for all the senses.
At our centres, we consider your child’s home and cultural background, and integrate that into the mealtimes we share together. We find this is a fantastic way of teaching children about diversity and culture! Plus, we even get the kids involved in preparing a meal using ingredients they’ve sourced themselves from the vegetable & herb garden – even chicken coup – to teach them the value of the food they’re eating!
Let’s not forget the fine print
All Little Peoples Place early learning centres closely follow the ‘Get Up and Grow’, Australian Dietary Guidelines and all Food Safety regulations. This ensure every meal we provide (that’s right, we provide meals) are not only delicious but healthy too.
Our Chefs prepare wholesome and freshly cooked meals right here on our premises. This includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. During meal times, children are encouraged to self-serve, giving them a head start in self-help and fine motor skills. If your child has any allergies, please do let us know and our fabulous chefs will create something delicious to suit your child’s diet.
